Health cost expenditure up in 2015, says statistics bureau

RAMALLAH, February 16, 2017 (WAFA) –Total current expenditure on health in Palestine went up in 2015 to reach $1,321.3 million compared to$1,234.2 million in 2014, a joint report by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) and the Ministry of Health said on Thursday.

The percentage of total health expenditure to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices for Palestine increased to reach 10.7% in 2015 from 9.8% in 2014.

Total health expenditure per capita was $282.2 in 2015 compared to $271.2 in 2014, said the report.
