RAMALLAH, February 15, 2017 (WAFA) – The Foreign Ministry Wednesday warned against a shift in the US Administration’s position on the two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict describing it as a dangerous shift in policy.

It said in a statement reacting to comments by a White House official who said US President Donald Trump may not press for Palestinian-Israeli peace based on the two-state solution, the Foreign Ministry said if this is the case, this would signal a “dangerous shift not only for the US administration and its views on how to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but rather the implications it will have on the positions of other states around the world, which would open ways for all kinds of solutions to this perpetual conflict.”

The Foreign Ministry pledged that the Palestinians will work with an international coalition to protect and preserve the two-state solution.
