JERUSALEM, February 12, 2017 (WAFA) – A group of Israeli settlers Sunday broke into al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem under heavy Israeli protection, local sources said.
The settlers, who entered al-Aqsa Mosque via al-Magharba gate, went on provocative tours around the yard of the mosque, where worshippers chanted Islamic slogans in protest to the settlers’ continuous activities.
Radical rabbis wearing religious black uniforms were among the settlers, who were heavily protected by Israeli police.
Meanwhile, Israeli police inspected women’s and young worshippers’ identification cards while settlers finished their tour.
