Israeli forces set up checkpoint at entrance to Jenin town

JENIN, November 5, 2016 (WAFA) - Israeli forces Saturday set up a  checkpoint at the entrance to Zbuba village, west of Jenin, in the north of the West Bank.

Local residents told WAFA that troops manning the checkpoint prevented cars and people from entering or leaving the village.

Troops reportedly held scores of vehicles attempting to cross the checkpoint and interrogated passengers over alleged incidents of stone-throwing at Israeli vehicles.

They also threatened locals that the checkpoint would be permanent and that other punitive measures would be imposed should stone-throwing persists.
