BETHLEHEM, October 5, 2015
(WAFA) – Israeli soldiers Monday shot dead a Palestinian child during
confrontations with youths in the Aida refugee camp north of Bethlehem, less
than 24 hours after another Palestinian youth was killed by the Israeli army in
Tulkarm, according to security sources.
Medical sources said 13-year-old
Abdul-Rahman Shadi Mustafa was seriously injured when Israeli soldiers shot him
with live ammunition. He was transferred to a nearby hospital before he
succumbed to his wounds during a surgery to save his life.
Meanwhile, two other
Palestinians were injured with live bullets in the thigh bone during the same
confrontations.
This came hours after a
Palestinian youth was shot dead by the Israeli army during confrontations in
the village of Bal’a near Tulkarm.
There has been
mounting tension across the West Bank and Jerusalem with Israel’s repeated
assault of al-Aqsa Mosque Compound, particularly its growing attempts to temporally
divide the site between Muslims and Jews.
The situation has
been significantly deteriorating since the deadly arson attack on the
Dawabsheh’s family home, which is strongly believed to be carried out by Jewish
settlers.
In the past two weeks
alone, six Palestinian youths were killed by the Israeli army, including
21-year-old Hadeel Hashlamon from Hebron, 21-year-old Diya’ Talahmeh from
Hebron, 19-year-old Fadi Aloun from Jerusalem, 19-year-old Muhanad Halabi from
Ramallah and 18-year-old Huthayfa Salman from Tulkarm.
