RAMALLAH, July 26, 2015 (WAFA) – The
Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) released its External Trade on
Goods report
on Sunday for May 2015, saying exports increased by 11.8% compared to April
2015.
PCBS said that exports increased in
May 2015 by 11.4% compared to May 2014 and reached $85.0 Million.
Exports to Israel in May 2015 also
increased by 13.3% compared to April 2015, and represented 87.5% of total
exports for May 2015.
On the other hand, exports to other
countries increased by 2.3% during the same period.
Meanwhile, the report said that imports
decreased in May 2015 by 2.1% compared to April 2015.
Imports from Israel increased by 2.4%
in May 2015 compared to April 2015, and represented 57.6% of total imports in
May 2015.
On the other hand, imports from
other countries decreased by 7.6% in May 2015 compared to the previous month.
The trade balance, which represents
the difference between exports and imports, showed a decrease in trade deficit
by 5.2% in May 2015 compared to the previous month, reaching $326.2 million.
