Newspaper Review: Israel’s Response to Settlers’ ‘Murder’ Focus of Dailies

RAMALLAH, July 2, 2014 – (WAFA) – Israel’s vow to take a tough response against Hamas for the ‘murder’ of the three Israeli settlers hit the front page headlines of Palestinian dailies.

Here are the front page headlines of the dailies.

Al-Quds

·         Israeli army steps up revengeful attacks in the Palestinian Territories.

·         A martyr, injuries, arrests, and houses’ destruction in West Bank [by Israeli forces].

·          ]Israeli warplanes[ launch 34 air strikes across Gaza Strip, injuring 4 Palestinians and causing extensive property damage.  

·         ]Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin[ Netanyahu continues to vow tough strikes against Hamas and differences ravage the Israeli cabinet.

·         A Palestinian is cold-bloodedly murdered by Israeli forces while bringing Suhoor (pre-dawn) Ramadan meal to his family in Jenin camp.

·         Clashes erupt in Al-Aqsa Mosque and worshipers are surrounded ]by Israeli border police[ in Al-Kibli Mosque – Two worshipers are injured with rubber-coated bullets as settlers continue to raid the mosque’s compound.
