FUREIDIS (or NORTHERN ISRAEL), April
29, 2014 – (WAFA) – Israeli settlers of the so called “Price Tag” group Tuesday
sprayed racist graffiti on the walls of a mosque in Fureidis in northern
Israel, local sources said.
Settlers spray-painted the ‘Star of
David’ and anti-Arab and Moslem graffiti on the exterior wall of the mosque.
ABC News reported that attackers
spray-painted a slogan reading “close mosques and not yeshivas (Jewish
seminaries)” and slashed the tires of vehicles parked nearby in a ‘price-tag’
attack.
‘Price tag’ attacks are perpetrated
against Palestinians and Palestinian property, including churches and mosques,
inside Israel as well as the occupied Palestinian Territories, including East
Jerusalem. They are intended to terrorize Palestinians intimidate them in order
to force displace them.
Perpetrators of such attacks are
rarely prosecuted by relevant Israeli authorities.
