RAMALLAH, February 27, 2014 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Presidential higher Committee on Church Affairs described in a statement Thursday the new Knesset’s bill that distinguishes between Muslims and Christians as ‘an ethnic law that reflects an ugly racism.
The Committee said that the new bill is meant to instigate conflict and strife between the people of Palestine.
he noted that it comes as a continuation of a series of racist bills that distinguish between citizens on religious basis and claim that Muslims form a threat to Christianity and that recognizing Israel as a Jewish state is the way to ensure protection of Christians.
The Committee stressed that Palestinian Christians are not a separate minority but form an integral part of the Palestinian people.
