NEW YORK, April 29, 2026 (WAFA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Shahin met with Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, at the United Nations headquarters in New York, on the sidelines of their participation in Security Council meetings.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the historic brotherly relations between the State of Palestine and the Kingdom of Bahrain, emphasizing the importance of advancing joint cooperation and coordination across various fields in a manner that serves the shared interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples.

The meeting also addressed ongoing international efforts to follow up on the implementation of the peace plan provisions in the Gaza Strip, contributing to recovery and reconstruction, and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to meet the urgent needs of the civilian population.

Minister Shahin underscored the importance of intensifying international efforts to halt the aggression, enhance the humanitarian response, and advance efforts toward achieving a just and comprehensive peace in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.
