Palestinian envoy in Hungary briefs French MPs on situation in Palestine

RAMALLAH, April 11, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Ambassador to Hungary, Fadi Al-Husseini, briefed French National Assembly members Thomas Portes and Gabriel Cathala, from the La France Insoumise party, on the latest field and humanitarian developments in Palestine, as well as ongoing Palestinian diplomatic efforts.

During the meeting, held at the Palestinian Embassy in Budapest, Ambassador Al-Husseini informed the two parliamentarians about the work the Palestinian Embassy in Hungary is doing to promote the Palestinian narrative and strengthen public solidarity through public diplomacy tools and social media engagement.

For their part, the two French parliamentarians reaffirmed their support for the Palestinian people's right to freedom and self-determination, emphasizing their commitment to meeting Palestinian representatives during their international visits to better understand their perspective.

Both sides agreed on the importance of strengthening coordination between European parliamentarians who support Palestine and Palestinian diplomatic missions to ensure respect for international law and to halt violations against civilians.
