RIYADH, April 7, 2026 (WAFA) – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemned on Tuesday the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by Itamar Ben-Gvir, a far-right minister in the Israeli occupation government.
In a statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom's "strongest condemnation and denunciation of the blatant storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by a minister in the Israeli occupation government, under the protection of occupation forces. The Kingdom affirmed its complete rejection of the continued Israeli violations of international law, the transgression against the sanctity of Islamic holy sites, and the provocation of Muslim sentiments worldwide."
The statement added: "The Kingdom stresses the importance of the international community fulfilling its responsibility to halt all Israeli violations and transgressions against the Palestinian people and the holy and historical sites in occupied Palestine, to respect the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to hold the occupation accountable for these repeated and heinous practices."
