JERUSALEM, March 30, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces demolished on Monday four Palestinian homes in the Silwan neighborhood, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that Israeli troops, accompanied by heavy machinery and armored vehicles, stormed the Al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan and demolished homes belonging to the Awad, Abu Shafeh, and Ruwaidi families without prior warning.
This demolition is part of the ongoing Israeli policy of imposing restrictions on Palestinian construction in occupied Jerusalem and its surrounding areas, exacerbating the housing crisis and limiting residents' ability to maintain and expand their homes.
According to the Jerusalem Governorate, during the month of February, Israeli authorities have carried out 49 demolition and land-clearing operations in the governorate.
