MOSCOW, March 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov announced Sunday that the war in the Middle East is expanding its boundaries, while Russia works to bring all parties back to the negotiating table.
Peskov said in a press conference that Russia is monitoring signs that the war in the Middle East is expanding, which could have severe consequences for global economic and energy markets.
He added that Russia is engaging with all parties and international powers to secure an immediate ceasefire and return to diplomatic efforts concerning the Iranian nuclear program.
