Palestinian Emergency Committee formed to monitor affairs of Palestinians in Lebanon

BEIRUT, March 4, 2026 (WAFA) – The Embassy of the State of Palestine in Lebanon announced the formation of a Palestinian Emergency Committee to monitor the affairs of Palestinians in Lebanon amid the Israeli aggression.

The Committee, established by the Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammed Al-Asaad, comprises embassy staff, officials from the Palestine Liberation Organization factions, members of the Palestinian National Security, and representatives from women’s and student unions, the Palestine Red Crescent Society, the Palestinian Health Insurance, and the media.

The Committee aims to monitor and address the needs of the Palestinian people with the relevant authorities, while strengthening coordination and communication with UNRWA, the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee, international organizations, and civil society groups to mitigate the consequences of the aggression, particularly in cases of displacement outside the camps.
