RAMALLAH, March 1, 2026 (WAFA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Aghabekian Shahin on Sunday held a series of telephone conversations with the ambassadors of the State of Palestine to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain, to follow up on the conditions of Palestinian communities in those countries.
The calls also included the Consul General of the State of Palestine in Jeddah and the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Shahin conveyed the greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, along with their wishes for the safety and well-being of Palestinian communities abroad.
She affirmed the leadership’s close and continuous monitoring of their conditions and its ongoing efforts to ensure reassurance regarding their welfare.
The Minister emphasized the importance of full adherence to the instructions and guidelines issued by the host countries under the present circumstances.
The Foreign Minister commended the dedicated efforts of Palestine’s embassies, stressing the need for sustained, around-the-clock engagement and constant communication with members of the Palestinian communities, their representatives and relevant authorities.
She expressed hope that the current circumstances would soon subside and that Arab countries and their peoples would be spared any harm.
For their part, the ambassadors expressed appreciation for the leadership’s attentiveness in following up on the conditions of Palestinian communities wherever they reside. They affirmed that they are closely monitoring all matters concerning these communities in light of the current situation.
A crisis cell has been established in coordination with the Ministry’s headquarters to oversee and facilitate the needs of Palestinian community members in the host countries, working in collaboration with the competent local authorities. Several issues affecting members of the Palestinian communities across the region have already been addressed and resolved.
