PM Mustafa discusses priorities of support and joint cooperation with Belgian delegation

RAMALLAH, February 18, 2026 (WAFA) – During a meeting held on Wednesday at his office in Ramallah, Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh met with Belgian Consul Anick Van Calster and Heidi De Bau, Director of the Belgian Agency for International Cooperation in Palestine and Jordan, to discuss the priorities of Belgian support for Palestine, areas of cooperation, and matters of mutual interest. The meeting was attended by Minister of Finance and Planning Estephan Salameh.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of intensifying international efforts to counter Israeli measures, including colonial expansion and annexation plans, while supporting relief and recovery initiatives across various sectors in the West Bank and Gaza, including infrastructure, health, education, and more.

The Belgian delegation reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing political, economic, and developmental support for Palestine, with particular focus in the coming period on joint initiatives in Gaza to advance remote work projects, distance learning, and the health sector.

They also highlighted programs for youth empowerment in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, as well as support for education, vocational and technical training, the green economy, solar and renewable energy projects, and the sustainability of local institutions.
