JEDDAH, February 16, 2026 (WAFA) – The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) warned of the dangers of the series of illegal measures and decisions taken by the Israeli occupation authorities, the latest of which is the initiation of land settlement procedures in the occupied West Bank under the pretext of "state land." This is part of a broader effort to deepen control, consolidate colonization and annexation, alter the legal, political, and demographic status of the occupied Palestinian territory, and undermine the two-state solution.

The OIC condemns Israel's colonial practices and calls for urgent international action. The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed its rejection and condemnation of these Israeli decisions and measures targeting the existence of the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, including their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent and sovereign state within the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. These decisions and measures are considered null and void under international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, including Security Council Resolution 2334.

The General Secretariat reiterated its call upon the international community, particularly the Security Council, to intervene immediately to compel Israel, the occupying power, to cease all its illegal actions and to ensure its accountability for all crimes and violations committed against the Palestinian people, their land, and their holy sites.
