RIYADH, January 20, 2026 (WAFA) – The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the demolition of buildings affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) by the Israeli occupation forces in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday.

In a statement, the ministry said the Kingdom reiterates its rejection of the Israeli violations of international and humanitarian norms and laws, and holds the international community responsible for confronting these practices and the Israeli approach based on the continued commission of crimes against international relief organizations.

The ministry expressed its support for UNRWA in its humanitarian mission to provide relief to the brotherly Palestinian people, and called on the international community to protect relief organizations, their staff, and their affiliated facilities.
