RAMALLAH, December 30, 2025 (WAFA) – Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh welcomed on Tuesday the European-Asian statement about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza.

In a post on X, the Vice President said, “We welcome the joint statement by the foreign ministers of the United Kingdom, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Japan, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland, and what it includes in terms of a clear call to take urgent measures to address the serious deterioration in the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, and the emphasis on the necessity of allowing non-governmental organizations to operate in a sustainable and regular manner, and ensuring the continuation of the United Nations' role in providing humanitarian assistance. This comes in the wake of Israeli decisions and actions that violate international law.”
