TEL AVIV, December 24, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has directed the construction of 126 colonial units in the former settlement of Sanur, located in the Jenin Governorate in the northern occupied West Bank.

The official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that Smotrich instructed the Higher Planning Council, the body responsible for approving settlement expansion and construction, to convene a meeting to discuss and approve the 126 settlement units in Sanur, a settlement in the northern West Bank that was evacuated in 2005.

According to a statement issued by Smotrich late Tuesday, the construction plan in Sanur will also include commercial areas, paved roads, and designated areas for kindergartens and schools.
