President Abbas receives Greek Prime Minister in Ramallah

RAMALLAH, December 22, 2025 (WAFA) – President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas received on Monday at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the accompanying delegation.

The two leaders reviewed the honor guard lined up to welcome them, while the national anthems of Palestine and Greece were played.

President Abbas and the visiting prime minister held a bilateral meeting to discuss the latest developments in the Palestinian Territory, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The talks also addressed ways to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the best interests of both peoples.

President Abbas hosted a luncheon in honor of the Greek prime minister, attended by senior officials from both the Palestinian and Greek sides.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, PLO Executive Committee member Ziad Abu Amro, Presidential Advisor for International Affairs Riyad Al-Maliki, Presidential Advisor for Diplomatic Affairs Majdi Al-Khaldi, Presidential Spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh, and Head of the Palestinian Presidential Office, Intissar Abu Amara.
