RAMALLAH, December 15, 2025 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas issued on Monday a law-by-decree merging the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC) into a single ministry, to be named the Ministry of Finance and Planning.
President Abbas also issued a presidential decree amending the composition of the nineteenth government.
Expressing his confidence in Minister Estephan Salameh, President Abbas also issued a law-by-decree appointing Salameh as Minister of Finance and Planning.
Minister Salameh will be sworn in at a later time to be determined.
