CAIRO, December 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Egypt’s Foreign Ministry said today that Cairo has intensified its efforts over the past two years to help secure a ceasefire, end the war in the Gaza Strip, and support recovery and reconstruction, in line with international humanitarian law and human rights principles, particularly the right to life and self-determination.
In a statement marking International Human Rights Day, the ministry said Egypt has worked to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza and to create conditions conducive to resuming the political process.
It added that the occasion reaffirms the principles of equality, freedom, justice, and human dignity at both the national and international levels, and strengthens awareness of fundamental rights and freedoms that serve as a foundation for progress and comprehensive development.
