JEDDAH, December 6, 2025 (WAFA) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) voiced strong rejection and condemnation of recent Israeli statements proposing the one-way opening of the Rafah crossing to facilitate the forced displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, affirming that forced displacement constitutes a war crime and a clear violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
The OIC called on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to uphold its responsibilities and pressure Israel to fully implement President Trump’s peace plan in a manner that ensures the Rafah crossing is opened permanently and safely in both directions.
It also stressed the importance of guaranteeing freedom of movement, ensuring the unhindered and sufficient delivery of humanitarian aid, securing an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire, and alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people.
The organization warned that Israel’s continuation of its aggression and violations poses a threat to regional and international security and stability.
It emphasized the need for sustained international efforts to achieve a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace aimed at ending the Israeli occupation and implementing the two-state solution, leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the June 4, 1967 borders, in accordance with relevant UN resolutions.
