RAMALLAH, November 20, 2025 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas awarded Norwegian diplomat Geir Pedersen the Star of Friendship from the Presidential Order during an official reception held on Thursday evening at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah.

During the meeting, President Abbas granted the decoration in recognition of Pedersen’s role in strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation between Palestine and Norway, and in appreciation of his efforts to support the Palestinian people in their pursuit of freedom and independence.

The meeting was attended by PLO Executive Committee member Ziad Abu Amr, presidential spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh, and the President’s Adviser for Diplomatic Affairs, Majdi Khaldi.
