RAMALLAH, November 20, 2025 (WAFA) – President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas received this evening, Thursday, at the Presidential Headquarters in the city of Ramallah, the Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, Hussein Al-Shibli, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the State of Palestine, Issam Al-Bdour.
The Secretary-General briefed the President on the projects implemented by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization in support of the Palestinian people and on the delivery of aid to alleviate their suffering, especially in the Gaza Strip, in line with the firm directives of King Abdullah II, who continues to stress the need to provide full support to the Palestinian people and their leadership until they attain freedom and independence.
For his part, the President thanked King Abdullah II and the brotherly Jordanian people for their continuous and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause in all fields.
The President praised the major role played by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization in supporting the Palestinian people, as well as the role of Jordanian state institutions in providing medical services in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, treating the wounded, and working to ease the suffering of our people.
President Abbas stressed the importance of removing Israeli obstacles to expedite the entry of humanitarian aid to our people in the Strip, who are enduring extremely difficult conditions.
The President expressed the great appreciation of the Palestinian people for Jordan’s fraternal positions in support of Palestinian rights and of our people’s steadfastness on their land.
President Abbas also commended the positions of King Abdullah II and his Crown Prince, Prince Hussein bin Abdullah, in rejecting displacement and supporting the Palestinian right to realize the independence of the State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital, as well as the role of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in safeguarding the Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem under the Hashemite custodianship.
