RAMALLAH, October 22, 2025 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas inaugurated on Wednesday the 10th National "Creativity from Homeland to the World - Towards a Cross-Border Creativity System" Forum, organized by the Higher Council for Creativity and Excellence.

The President stated that creativity and excellence are an inherent characteristic of the Palestinian people and are not new, noting that their roots extend back to the outbreak of the Palestinian Revolution in 1965.

He added that the Excellence and Creativity Project, headed by Adnan Samara, Chairman of the Higher Council for Creativity and Excellence, since 1970, has been an important milestone in highlighting Palestinian capabilities.

It has contributed to the implementation of numerous pioneering inventions and initiatives despite the difficult circumstances experienced by our people and their repeated displacement. However, the spirit of creativity has remained present in the minds of Palestinians.

President Abbas explained that he supported this project out of his belief in the importance of instilling a culture of excellence and creativity in Palestinian society, noting that Palestine possesses creative and productive young talents who possess thought, intelligence, and culture, and are capable of achieving impressive accomplishments. He added that the successes we see today are evidence that Palestinian creativity is continuing and developing at an unprecedented pace.

The President emphasized that excellence and creativity represent the most important qualities of advanced nations, adding, "We have young people who possess thought, culture, and the ability to achieve accomplishments, and today we see the fruits of this giving in many fields."

He emphasized the need for these achievements to be reflected on the ground through the adoption of Palestinian ideas and inventions by government institutions and companies, saying, "It is not enough to say that we have achieved an invention; it must find its way to implementation for the benefit of people and society."

President Abbas toured the pavilions of the National Creativity Exhibition, which includes more than 127 pavilions representing Palestinian universities, startups, youth initiatives, and student projects, as well as institutions that support excellence and creativity.
