RAMALLAH, October 9, 2025 (WAFA) – Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh, welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the beginning of the Israeli withdrawal, the release of hostages and prisoners, and the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip.
Al-Sheikh expressed hope that this development would mark a step toward security, stability, and peace, within the framework of a political process leading to the implementation of the two-state solution.
