- Stresses that the key to security and stability lies in ending genocide, displacement, land and resource theft, and the occupation.
- Affirms that Israel’s ongoing aggression against Palestine and repeated attacks on Arab and Islamic states, most recently Qatar, require a decisive Arab and Islamic stance and intervention by the United States and the UN Security Council.
DOHA, September 15, 2025 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas reaffirmed Palestine’s solidarity and support for the State of Qatar in the face of the brutal Israeli attack, stressing that an assault on any Arab or Islamic state constitutes an assault on all nations and on their shared security.
In his address to the emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha on Monday, President Abbas called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and hold Israel accountable for its crimes and repeated aggression against Arab and Islamic peoples, urging the adoption of practical and deterrent measures to prevent such assaults from recurring.
The President reiterated that the key to security and stability in the region lies in ending genocide, displacement, and the theft of land and resources, and in bringing an end to the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The President stressed that, given Israel’s ongoing aggression against Palestine and its repeated attacks on Arab and Islamic states, most recently Qatar, the extremist right-wing government in Israel cannot be regarded as a partner in achieving security and stability in the region.
The President stressed that such actions require a decisive Arab and Islamic stance, as well as intervention by the United States and the UN Security Council to end these rogue practices by the occupying power.
