GAZA, April 26, 2025 (WAFA) – Five Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Saturday evening in two separate Israeli attacks targeting Deir al-Balah and the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. These latest strikes have raised the death toll in Gaza since dawn to 27.
According to WAFA correspondents, Israeli warplanes bombed a café in Deir al-Balah, killing four people and wounding several others. In a separate attack, Israeli artillery targeted a group of civilians northwest of the Nuseirat refugee camp, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. The injured were transferred to Al-Awda Hospital for treatment.
In another incident, a number of civilians were wounded when Israeli drones opened fire on Block 1 in the Al-Bureij refugee camp, also in central Gaza.
Earlier in the day, three Palestinians were killed and others wounded when Israeli forces shelled a gathering in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza. Additionally, an Israeli airstrike on a house belonging to the Abu Mzayyed family in Al-Zawaida, central Gaza, killed two more people.
Two other Palestinians were killed in separate Israeli airstrikes on Ezbet Beit Hanoun town in the north and the Shujaiyya neighborhood in Gaza City. Israeli naval forces also targeted a fishing boat off the coast of Al-Zawaida, injuring six fishermen.
Several more were injured in Khan Younis when Israeli forces bombed a tent sheltering displaced people in Al-Mawasi.
At dawn, Israeli airstrikes hit a house belonging to the Al-Khour family in the Al-Sabra neighborhood of southern Gaza City, killing 10 people. Several others were wounded, and some are still trapped beneath the rubble.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 51,495 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 117,524 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
