TULKARM, April 22, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Tuesday ordered more families to leave their houses in the Tulkarm refugee camp as the Israeli military aggression on Tulkarm City and the refugee camp continued for the 86th consecutive day, according to WAFA correspondent.
She said that the occupation forces were deployed on a large scale in the various neighborhoods of the city, including in the vicinity of al-Miga Circle and the vegetable market, where the soldiers stopped civilian passers-by, inspected their ID cards, fired barrages of concussion grenades in an act of terrorism, and detained a youth.
In the eastern neighborhood of the city, the soldiers forced out families, including the Assias and Abu al-Ghiyabs, from their houses at gunpoint, barring them from returning until 19:00.
In the Nablus street, the soldiers stormed a restaurant on the Nablus street in the city, and detained one of the employees, identified as a resident of the Bal'a town, northeast of the city, at a time when they blocked the street near the Tulkarm refugee camp using tires.
Israeli patrols also deployed in the Jabal An-Naser neighborhood of the refugee camp, where they cased and physically assaulted young men, detained and escorted some of them to nearby military barracks.
The occupation army has continued a massive onslaught on the city and the refugee camp of Tulkarm for the 86th consecutive day, causing extensive destruction of infrastructure and civilian properties and displacing thousands of civilians.
This comes as the occupation forces tightened military measures across the occupied West Bank hours after the release of 90 Palestinian prisoners as part of the Gaza ceasefire went into effect on January 19, dismembering and isolating cities and governorates from one another using military gates, barriers, and concrete blocks.
The Israeli military measures are in parallel with ongoing attacks by Israeli colonists across the West Bank to terrorize Palestinians and displace them from their lands to seize them and build illegal Jewish colonies that separate Palestinian communities.
Closures besides other measures, taken under the guise of security, are intended to entrench Israel’s 58-year-old military occupation of the West Bank and its settler colonial project, which it enforces with routine and frequently deadly violence against Palestinians.
