Young Palestinian man shot dead by Israeli forces south of Jenin

JENIN, April 20, 2025 (WAFA) – A young Palestinian man was shot and killed by Israeli forces on Sunday night at the entrance to the Homesh colony south of Jenin.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the General Authority for Civil Affairs informed it of the killing of 24-year-old Suleiman Fawwaz Manasrah, a resident of Qabatiya. He was shot with live ammunition by Israeli forces at the entrance to the Homesh colony, and his body was subsequently withheld.

Local sources had earlier reported hearing heavy gunfire near the entrance to the colony, which is built illegally on the lands of the town of Silat ad-Dhahr, south of Jenin. Eyewitnesses said they saw the body of a young man lying on the ground as Israeli forces gathered around it.

Earlier this evening, Israeli forces closed the main road connecting the cities of Jenin and Nablus, as well as the entrance to the town of Bizzariya, following an alleged shooting in the area.

With Manasrah’s killing, the number of Palestinians killed in Jenin governorate since the start of the Israeli onslaught on the city and its refugee camp has risen to 39.
