GAZA, April 20, 2025 (WAFA) – At least 12 Palestinians were killed and others injured on Sunday as Israeli airstrikes targeted multiple areas across the Gaza Strip, including Gaza City, Khan Younis, and Rafah, according to local sources.
In Gaza City, Israeli warplanes bombed Al-Nakheel Street in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of the city, killing five people, witnesses reported.
In southern Gaza, two civilians—Ismail Al-Aqqad and his son Ahmad—were killed when an Israeli airstrike hit their family home in the Al-Manara neighborhood of Khan Younis.
Meanwhile, five more people were reported killed in an Israeli strike on the Kafsofa area, east of Rafah. Civil defense teams have so far been unable to recover the bodies due to the intensity of the shelling and the destruction in the area.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 51,201 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 16,869 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
