Israeli airstrike on Gaza City kills at least seven, dozens injured

GAZA, April 18, 2025 (WAFA) — At least seven Palestinians were killed and dozens more injured, including women, children, and the elderly—many of them critically—following an Israeli airstrike on a residential home in southeastern Gaza City on Friday.

According to WAFA correspondent, Israeli warplanes targeted the home of the Nassar family in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City. The victims have been identified as Abdul Latif Nassar, Nayef Abdul Latif Nassar, Amani Abdul Latif Nassar, Rawan Abdul Latif Nassar, and Hala Abdul Latif Nassar.

Medical sources reported that since dawn today, a total of 43 Palestinians have been killed in a series of air raids carried out by Israeli occupation forces across various areas of the Gaza Strip.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 51,065 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 116,505 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
