Israeli colonists continue works on settlement road near Burin, south of Nablus

NABLUS, April 18, 2025 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists continue to carve out a new settlement road on Palestinian-owned land near the village of Burin, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, as settler incursions and land seizures escalate across the region.

Jubran Qadous, head of the nearby Iraq Burin Village Council, reported that Israeli bulldozers operated by colonists have been steadily working to build the road at the expense of land belonging to the nearby village of Burin.

The construction is taking place near the illegal settlement of Bracha, which has already been established on confiscated Palestinian land. Qadous warned that the ongoing land clearing means the seizure of even more farmland belonging to residents of Burin.

In a separate incident, dozens of Israeli colonists, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces, stormed the summit of Jabal Al-Arma in the town of Beita, south of Nablus. According to WAFA correspondents, the colonists engaged in provocative behavior and acts of harassment toward Palestinian residents in the area.
