HEBRON, April 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, on Thursday to secure the entry of colonists to the ancient Carmel Pool.
Media activist Osama Makhamreh noted that the occupation forces surrounded the Carmel archaeological site, closed roads leading to it, and that snipers were deployed on the rooftops of several houses. The aim was to secure the entry of dozens of colonists to the archaeological site to perform biblical rituals under the pretext of Jewish holidays.
Makhareh added that the pool site is a historical archaeological site dug by the Canaanites to collect rainwater and spring water for irrigation of livestock and crops.
