TULKAREM, April 14, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces deployed military vehicles across the streets and intersections of Tulkarem city on Monday, launching a series of raids and imposing severe restrictions on the movement of residents.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli soldiers stormed the Fawaz Mall southeast of the city, detaining customers and employees and subjecting them to field interrogations. A military checkpoint was also erected in the same area, where young men were stopped, searched, and had their IDs and phones inspected, causing traffic disruptions. No detentions were reported.
In the city center, four military jeeps blocked the road leading to Thabet Thabet Government Hospital. Soldiers raided a nearby café, interrogated all those inside and threw stun grenades to intimidate passersby.
In Tulkarm refugee camp, soldiers were heavily deployed in Al-Matar neighborhood, storming and ransacking homes and forcing families to leave.
Similarly, residents of Jabal Al-Salihin in Nur Shams camp were ordered to leave their homes without being allowed to retrieve their personal belongings, amid widespread house raids.
These incursions come amid a continued escalation of Israeli violations in Tulkarem, its camps and surrounding areas, as part of an ongoing military aggression now entering its 78th consecutive day. Daily raids have included detentions and the forced displacement of Palestinian civilians.
