RAMALLAH, April 7, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian Monday evening sustained an injury from Israeli army gunfire in the Shuqba village, west of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to WAFA correspondent.
He said that Israeli occupation forces broke into a house in the village, with snipers seizing its rooftop and turning it into an observation point.
He added that the snipers opened gunfire at local villagers, injuring a youth by a live round in the foot.
The casualty was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, Israeli infantry stormed the nearby village of Nabi Saleh, and fired volleys of concussion bombs.
They stopped and inspected Palestinian-registered vehicles, and checked passengers’ ID cards.
There was no information confirming any casualty or detention case.
The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
