JERUSALEM, April 6, 2025 (WAFA) — The Israeli occupation authorities have banned journalist Firas al-Debs, an employee of the Islamic Waqf Department, from Al-Aqsa Mosque for three months.
Local sources reported that the occupation authorities issued a decision on Sunday banning journalist Firas al-Debs, an employee of the Islamic Waqf Department, from Al-Aqsa Mosque for three months.
This decision came after he was summoned for interrogation at the Al-Qishla Police Station in the Old City of Jerusalem on the last Friday of Ramadan.
Following his interrogation, he was handed a ban from Al-Aqsa Mosque effective today.
The investigator asked him to return for interrogation on Sunday. Upon his arrival, he was handed a renewal order to ban him from Al-Aqsa Mosque.
According to a statement issued by the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, the occupation authorities have banned 15 male and female journalists from Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City of occupied Jerusalem since the beginning of last month.
