GAZA, April 5, 2025 (WAFA) – Three Palestinians were killed and others were injured on Saturday evening in two airstrikes carried out by Israeli warplanes on the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
Local sources reported that Israeli drones targeted a group of people in Shujaiya with two airstrikes, resulting in the killing of three Palestinians.
For the second consecutive day, Shujaiya has been subjected to an Israeli ground assault, the third since the start of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza in 2023. Israeli military vehicles are stationed on the Al-Muntar hill and its surrounding area, overlooking the entire area.
Witnesses also reported that Israeli forces are continuously targeting several areas in the neighborhood with machine gunfire and artillery shelling. Additionally, the eastern parts of the Zaytoun neighborhood are subjected to intermittent artillery shelling.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 50,669 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 115,225 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
