GAZA, April 5, 2024 (WAFA) – Five citizens were killed and others were injured on Saturday as a result of Israeli shelling of the cities of Khan Yunis and Gaza.
Local sources reported that an Israeli drone fired a missile at a charitable food pantry in the Qatawa refugee camp, west of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, killing five people.
They added that a drone bombed a residential apartment in central Khan Yunis, killing Ali Ziad al-Hindi and wounding his wife and child.
They added that Israeli artillery shelled al-Sikka Street in the al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, killing Lian Nael Jundia.
Israeli warplanes bombed a home belonging to the Abu Atta family in the al-Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, killing and wounding a number of citizens.
Israeli artillery also shelled the center of Rafah city and the Arabiyya area and its surroundings, north of the city.
Medical sources announced the killing of Bahaa El-Din Raed Muharab, a young man, from wounds he sustained in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Al-Nasr, northeast of Rafah.
The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 50,609, and the number of wounded has risen to 115,063 since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023.
