Israeli forces issue new eviction orders in southern Gaza amid ongoing genocide

GAZA, March 29, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces issued new eviction orders today demanding that residents in three towns in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, immediately leave their homes and tents.

Local sources reported that the orders affected residents in the towns of Abasan, Al-Qarara, and Khuza'a, instructing them to move westward towards the Al-Mawasi area.

The forcible eviction orders come amid the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, where Israeli occupation forces have resumed their attacks since March 18 after a fragile two-month ceasefire. Over the course of the past week, Israel has killed 921 Palestinians and injured 2,054 others, with a large percentage of the casualties being women and children.

Since the beginning of today, at least 17 Palestinians, including women and children, have been reported killed in Israeli airstrikes and artillery bombardments across various areas of Gaza, just a day before the start of Eid al-Fitr.

Among the victims, three women were killed when Israeli forces bombed a tent sheltering displaced people in western Gaza City. Another man was killed in airstrikes that targeted the Sheikh Zayed area in the northern Gaza Strip.

In a separate attack, Israeli airstrikes targeted the home of the Al-Barawee family in Beit Lahiya, located in northern Gaza, causing additional fatalities and injuries.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 50,277 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 114,095 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
