TULKAREM, March 26, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces issued stop-work orders against three homes belonging o Palestinian residents in the village of Kafr al-Labad, east of Tulkarem, according to local sources.

One of the home owners, Adel Thulthain, told WAFA that he was surprised to see Israeli soldiers placing the orders on a pole near his home. When he inquired, they informed him that construction must halt immediately.

Thulthain's home was constructed in 2000, and he and his family have resided there for the past three years. The property features two floors, with the first floor fully inhabited and the second still under construction.

Thulthain expressed his intention to appeal the decision and submit legal documentation to verify his ownership of the property, in an effort to challenge the Israeli action, which forms part of a broader pattern of violations targeting the rights of Palestinians to housing and urban expansion on their land.

Last month, the Israeli authorities issued demolition orders against 93 structures, including 25 in Nablus, 24 in Tulkarem, 13 in Hebron and eight in Tubas.
