Israeli forces continue 65-day aggression on Jenin and its refugee camp

JENIN, March 26, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces continue their aggression on the city and refugee camp of Jenin for the 65th consecutive day, marked by ongoing house demolitions, the burning of homes and the conversion of others into military outposts.

Two young men were injured by Israeli gunfire in the village of Deir Ghazaleh, northeast of Jenin, yesterday evening, while another young man was beaten by Israeli soldiers, requiring medical treatment.

Since the beginning of the aggression in late January, around 230 people have been detained in the Jenin governorate.

Israeli forces have deployed military reinforcements and bulldozers to the Jenin refugee camp, where demolition operations, street expansions and the creation of new roads continue. Live gunfire persists around the camp, with ongoing movements of infantry units within its neighborhoods, alongside intensive surveillance drones flying over the city and camp.

The number of displaced people from the camp has reached 21,000, with many seeking refuge in Jenin city and surrounding villages. Israeli forces have notified of the demolition of approximately 66 buildings, affecting about 300 homes in the camp and several neighborhoods. Access to homes is restricted, preventing residents from retrieving their belongings.

According to the Jenin municipality, the ongoing aggression has led to the destruction of 100% of the camp’s streets and around 80% of the city's streets. More than 3,200 homes have been displaced.

This ongoing Israeli aggression on the city and refugee camp of Jenin for the past 65 days has resulted in the killing of 34 residents, in addition to numerous injuries and hundreds of detentions and home raids.
