TULKARM, March 25, 2025 (WAFA) –The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression against the city of Tulkarm and its camp for the 58th consecutive day, and against the Nur Shams camp for the 45th day, amid ongoing military escalation, massive reinforcements, and forced displacement of residents.
WAFA correspondent reported that after midnight, the occupation forces sent military reinforcements, including vehicles, to the city of Tulkarm and its two camps. They deployed infantry troops in the neighborhoods and surrounding areas of the camps, as well as inside the homes they have seized, amid a tight siege.
The occupation forces, accompanied by two Eitan armored vehicles, stormed the town of Attil, north of Tulkarm, at dawn today. They patrolled the streets before heading towards the city of Tulkarm, passing through the Shuweika suburb, and reaching Nablus Street adjacent to the Nur Shams camp.
They then moved towards the towns of Anabta and Kafr al-Labad, where they conducted provocative patrols through the streets and neighborhoods, obstructing vehicular traffic, before withdrawing towards the village of Shufa.
As part of the ongoing aggression, the occupation forces forced the residents of Al-Ghusoun building in the traffic circle area of the northern neighborhood, adjacent to Nablus Street, to evacuate their homes under threat.
Meanwhile, they continue to seize approximately 10 residential buildings in the area, containing dozens of apartments, whose residents were forcibly evacuated. They have turned these buildings into military outposts and transformed the area into a closed military zone.
The occupation forces have intensified their military presence on Nablus Street, closing off parts of it with earth mounds, amid measures restricting vehicle movement by stopping and searching vehicles and detaining passengers for extended periods after checking their IDs.
As part of the policy of forced displacement, the occupation forces continued to force the residents of the Rabaya'a neighborhood in Tulkarm camp to evacuate their homes, under threat, as part of the escalating wave of displacement in neighborhoods on the outskirts of the camp. This comes amid ongoing military operations that are tightening the noose on residents, particularly in the neighborhoods of Al-Hadaida, Al-Matar, Rabaya'a, Qaqun, and Marbat Hanoun.
They also deployed their vehicles around the Nur Shams camp and in the Manshiyya neighborhood, amid a tight siege of the camp. The occupation forces have also seized dozens of homes and converted them into military barracks after forcing their residents to evacuate.
The ongoing escalation by the occupation forces in the city of Tulkarm and its two camps has resulted in the killing of 13 citizens, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens have also been injured and detained, and more than 4,000 families have been forcibly displaced from the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, along with dozens of families from the northern neighborhood of the city.
The aggression also caused widespread destruction to infrastructure, including homes, shops, and vehicles, which were completely and partially demolished, burned, vandalized, looted, and seized.
396 homes were completely destroyed and 2,573 partially destroyed in the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps, in addition to closing their entrances and alleys with earth mounds.
