Israeli forces issue demolition orders for five homes in al-Walajah, near Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, March 20, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces issued demolition orders on Thursday for five homes and an agricultural structure, along with orders to level agricultural land in the village of al-Walajah, located northwest of Bethlehem, local sources said.

Khadir al-Araj, head of the al-Walajah Village Council, told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed the village and handed orders to demolish five inhabited homes, which belong to the local Palestinian residents. All these homes are occupied, and the demolition orders were issued under the pretext of lacking building permits.

Al-Araj added that the Israeli forces also issued an order to demolish a horse stable belonging to a local Palestinian, as well as orders to raze agricultural land belonging to residents Zakaria Mahmoud al-Araj and Hamed Saleh Hajjajleh.

Israeli occupation authorities frequently demolish homes of Palestinians in Area C of the West Bank, under full Israeli control, under the pretext of construction without Israeli permission.
