Israeli forces storm Ramallah-governorate villages

RAMALLAH, March 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Monday evening stormed the Nabi Saleh village, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.

They said that the occupying forces barged their way to the downtown part of the village, simultaneously while firing barrages of live ammunition and tear gas canisters, triggering confrontations.

The soldiers briefly held a number of youths following the Isha and Tarawih prayers in the vicinity of a local mosque.

Meanwhile, gun-toting soldiers raided the nearby village of Aboud and fired volleys of concussion grenades.

There was no immediate information on any casualties or detention cases.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
