Around 80,000 Muslim worshipers pray at Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque on second Friday of Ramadan

JERUSALEM, March 14, 2025 (WAFA) – More than 80,000 of Muslim worshipers performed today the second Friday prayer of the holy month of Ramadan at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem, despite Israel's restrictions on the entry of worshipers.

The occupying forces imposed strict measures at the entrances and gates of Al-Aqsa and the Old City of Jerusalem.

The Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Jerusalem reported that approximately 80,000 worshippers performed the second Friday of the holy month of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Despite the restrictions, worshippers flocked from various regions, especially from the 1948 territories and occupied Jerusalem. The occupation forces allowed only a small number of worshippers from the West Bank governorates to enter occupied Jerusalem.

The mosque courtyards witnessed a heavy presence of Israeli occupation forces and police, who tightened their security measures at the mosque's gates and prevented large numbers of young men from entering in an attempt to limit the number of worshippers.

It is worth noting that Al-Aqsa Mosque witnesses large numbers of worshippers, especially on Fridays and during the month of Ramadan, despite Israeli escalation and attempts to restrict worshippers' access to it.
