TULKAREM, March 10, 2025 (WAFA) – For the 43rd consecutive day, Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on Tulkarem city and its refugee camp, and for the 30th day on the Nur Shams camp, amid military reinforcements, an ongoing siege and widespread home raids.
reported that Israeli forces deployed military reinforcements to the city and its camps, spreading infantry units throughout the neighborhoods of the camps and their surroundings, while firing live ammunition and stun grenades to terrorize the citizens.
The occupation forces also maintain their military presence in front of the homes and residential buildings they have seized and turned into military outposts on Nablus Street, which connects the Tulkarem and Nur Shams camps. At the same time, the forces continue to stop and search passing vehicles, checking passengers' identity cards. The forces briefly detain and interrogate residents, with some, especially young men, subjected to physical assault.
In the Tulkarem camp, the occupation forces intensified their foot patrols in all its neighborhoods and took positions in several areas. Forces raided homes and commercial shops after breaking down and blowing up their doors, and vandalizing their contents, while firing random live ammunition.
The camp is experiencing widespread destruction to its infrastructure, with homes completely and partially demolished, looted, and burned. The remaining homes have been turned into military outposts.
In Nur Shams camp, the occupation forces continue their strict siege, which has been ongoing for two months as part of their aggression. This is accompanied by raids on homes in the al-Damaj neighborhood, where they vandalized the contents after searching and interrogating the residents, amid gunfire.
This coincided with the destruction of the camp’s infrastructure. Over 28 homes in the al-Manshiyya neighborhood were completely demolished as part of the occupation’s plan to create roads and alter the geographical features of the camp.
The ongoing aggression on the city and its camps has so far resulted in the killing of 13 citizens, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant.
Dozens more have been injured and detained, while over 9,000 people have been displaced from the Nur Shams camp and 12,000 from the Tulkarem camp.
